If boy bands scare you then this one is terrifying, otherwise not much for a scare. Limited blood and only a few kills fill out this cheesey flick.
Story: The lead singer of the world's most popular boy band mysteriously goes missing, so the band holds a contest to find a replacement to fill his shoes. The contest finalists are whisked away to a remote private island where the band will decide who best fits in with them and the unfortunate losers will fall prey to the group's dark secret.
Gay Factor: No gay characters, just typical DeCoteau style homoerotic visuals and male bonding. The homoeroticism lacks somewhat in comparison to DeCoteau's other films. Yes, we get the shirtless guys and guys in their underwear, but a little less often than other DeCoteau films. The biggest gay subtext and homoerotica comes during their voodoo rituals and the implication of group sex. During their ritual, they strip to their undies and bound one to a table/bed, also stripped to his underwear. Earlier in the film, one of the contestants has a nightmare about his girlfriend being seduced by the group together. Later, the group tests their potential winner, intruding when he's about to score with a girl and refusing to leave, insisting that the group shares everything. The guys pile on the girl in what starts out to seem like a gangbang but turns to a vampiric feeding frenzy.
