2000

Don't be scared of Scary Movie, it's a comedic parody of the biggest horror films of the 90's, in the ridiculous style of Airplane.  It's the first and best of a franchise that totalled four films with a rumored 5th due in 2012.  It was hugely successful, earning $278 Million worldwide off a $19 Million budget.  The central storyline is a combined parody of the horror hits Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.  Smaller parodies come from Scream 2, Blair Witch Project, The Sixth Sense, The Matrix, tv's Dawson's Creek and more.

Story:  A year after accidentally killing a man and disposing of his body, a group of teens find themselves stalked by a serial killer who knows their secret.  Their school becomes a magnet of media attention as one by one more kids get killed.

Gay Factors:  This is a straight movie with tons of gay references, primarily centered around Ray (Shawn Wayons), but not limited to his character.  By the end we've had 2 closeted gay male characters (one of whom comes out near the end), a transgendered character and a reference to girl on girl play between two of the lead females.  Definitely the gayest in the Scary Movie franchise, all of which have some small element of gayness.

Shawn Wayons plays Ray, the jock dating Brenda, but the entire movie he comes off as a closeted gay male.  He tucks his tanktop queer style and asks if he looks gay; he reminisces about Drew Decker's brother noting his sexy lips and hot ass; in the locker room he's smacking all the guy's asses and tells one "nice ass."  As the group is looting a dead guy's body he takes claim on the guy's underwear; when Cindy tells Ray to tell Bobby she loves him, he says "ok, I'll tell Bobby I love him"; when Greg starts a fight, Ray suggests naked wrestling; he gets stabbed in the head through a gloryhole by a giant penis in a parody of the theater bathroom scene in Scream 2.  Most famously, anyone who's seen the movie will remember the scene in which he has his girlfriend dress up in a football uniform then starts humping her butt while moaning "take it Brandon."  Near the end of the film, a secret relationship between Ray and Bobby is revealled.  When a new killer runs in stabbing Ray, he falls over Bobby doggy style.

Jon Abrahams plays Bobby who seems heterosexual and Cindy's boyfriend most of the film with only a few subtle hints of gayness until the end.  His first hint of gayness comes when he says he spent the night in jail, then suddenly a muscled skinhead from jail shows up cuddling on him.  When Bobby and Cindy are finally going to have sex, Bobby has to give her instructions on giving oral sex in which he explains "It's just like sucking on a tootsie roll pop...a cherry one" then seductively licks his lips fantasizing as if he has experience.  Finally, near the film's end, he tells Cindy that he's gay and so is Ray and starts reminiscing about going to a club with Ray and their trip to San Francisco and making love together.  Ray, the film's flamer, denies being gay because it was Bobby who sucked him.  The Ray/Bobby relationship is a spinoff of Billy and Stu from the original Scream film, adding further speculation to an offscreen romance between those two characters who have come into question in other debate.

Aside from Ray and Bobby, the film has a gym teacher, Miss Man,  who appears to either be a man in drag or a butch lesbian, but revealled to be a transgendered character when her ballsac is exposed under her skirt.  Also, there's a small reference to bisexual or lesbian experimentation in one scene when Buffy (Shannon Elizabeth) makes a comment to Cindy (Anna Ferris) referring to when they were drunk and went down on each other.
