This cheesy little diddy masks its low budget by presenting itself in black & white as a film from the 50's or 60's.  Actually, it takes place in 1967, but it has more of a 50's feel.  It's like The Twilight Zone mixed with Leave It To Beaver meets Ozzie And Harriet in a gay universe.  It is original among the modern gay "horror" flicks, but not scary.  Its humor is a tongue-in-cheek, ah shucks 50's/60's style from a gay angle instead of the typical over the top campiness of many gay horror flicks.  If you feel nostalgic for old black & white zombie flicks or ever wondered what a gay sitcom would've been like in the 1950's, check this one out.  Otherwise, for a more modern gay friendly zombie flick, you might want to check out Zombies Of Mass Destruction.

Story:  A contamination from the local chemical plant has spread the West End Virus to mosquitos who in turn infect the cruisers at the nearby rest stop turning them into zombies.  A group of gay friends are meeting for a weekend birthday party at a house on the lagoon, but their gay ole time is about to be spoiled by a pack of flesh eating gay zombies.

Yeti: A Love Story

An ultra low budget comedy horror with poor effects and bad acting that makes fun of itself.  Looks like something made for youtube.  Maybe fun if you're not sober.  A lot of gay slurs in the first half hour, mixed with the bad acting and poor effects, I almost stopped watching before the Yeti was even introduced.  If you can get past all that....

STORY:  Man loves beastman.  When a group of college kids get stranded in this crazy little town, they find themselves the prey of a cult who wants to sacrifice them to the Yeti beast.  The cult's plans go astray when the yeti falls in love with one of the frat boys.

GAYNESS:  Film starts off pretty homophobic with gay slurs every few minutes. Maybe 1/3 through things begin to change: First is reference to a gangbang that ‘got embarrassing after a girl showed up’, follow that by a possible offscreen tent orgy between 3 guys and 2 girls, then a funny montage of the group’s day of camping with a brief mock of 1 guy jerking off the other (on his fishing pole). Finally we meet the Yeti beast who butt fucks two of the frat boys, killing one, and falling in love with the other, keeping him as his mate. By the end, the two girl’s have fallen for each other and have offscreen sex in the tent. 

SEX/NUDITY:  full frontal, penis, tits, male ass, beast sex with guys, male/female sex (covered), 2 girls kissing.

Ticked-Off Trannies With Knives

A controversial, low budget film, even dissed by GLAAD, for misrepresenting the lives of transgendered and extreme violence.  However, film goers seemed to enjoy this crazy flick.

STORY:  A group of trannies find themselves the victim of attack from 3 straight guys.  After regrouping, the girls seek out their revenge.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

This low budget cult classic is thought of as having the longest theatrical run of any film in history.  It's more campy than scary, but with themes of transvestitism, bi and homosexuality, it makes our list!

STORY:  Newlyweds, Brad and Janet, find themselves with a flat tire out in the middle of nowhere.  In seeking help, they stumble across a castle where the Annual Transylvania Convention is being held, led by Frank-N-Further, a bisexual transvestite.

     Frank seduces both Brad and Janet separately and sucks them into his perverse world where he claims to have discovered the "secret to life itself," his creation, Rocky Horror.  The yuppies soon find their meanings of pleasure challenged.
