Scary Movie 2

Cast:  Shawn Wayons, Marlon Wayans, Anna Ferris, Regina Hall, Chris Masterson, Tori Spelling, Tim Curry

Director:  Keenan Ivory Wayans

2001

Despite their deaths in the first film, most of the cast of the original returns for a new comedic horror adventure; in a deleted scene Brenda says she had a "near death experience".  Also, there's no mention of Ray's part in trying to kill Cindy in the first film.  This time parodying The Haunting, The Exorcist, House On Haunted Hill, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hanibal, Poltergeist 1 & 2, Dude, Where's My Car, Titanic and more.

Story:  An evil college professor lures a group of teens to Hell House in hopes of exploiting its paranormal activity for the purpose of his research.

Gay Factor:  Ray (Shawn Wayons) returns as the sexually confused, closeted gay.  This time he seems to have a crush on his new friend, Buddy (Chris Masterson).  Not as many gay references as the first film, but not as limited as in parts 3 & 4.

Killer Bash

CAST:  Raquel Riskin, Cory Monteith, Sebastian Gacki, Tara Wilson, Alicia Jones, Lindsay Maxwell, Lisa Marie Caruk, Caz Odin Darko, Alex Caithness, Aleks Holtz, Paula Shaw, Graham Wardle, Graham Kasakosi, Chad Rook, Brandon Mills.

DIRECTOR:  David DeCoteau

2005

Killer Bash is another of David DeCoteau's homoerotic "horror for women" films and follows the DeCoteau trademark of hot, shirtless guys flexing their muscles through half the film.  This is one of those bad movies that you might actually enjoy.  It's more of a suspense thriller; no blood or gore or scares.  A standout point of this film is its star Cory Monteith who later became a star on tv's Glee.  Lisa Marie Caruk has a role in the horror film Final Destination.  Aleks Holtz can be seen in DeCoteau's The Brotherhood IV:  The Complex along with Sebastian Gacki who also starred in DeCoteau's Beastly Boys.

Story:  When a nerdy, unpopular girl discovers an old class ring it transforms her to a pretty girl and leads her to unveil the 30 year old mystery of a boy who vanished on campus.  She learns that the geeky boy died as a result of bullying and a fraternity prank but now his spirit overtakes her body to bring revenge upon the children of his killers.

Gay Factor:  No gay character but gay director, DeCoteau, brings his typical formula of hot shirtless guys in half the film, mixed with scenes of the sexy boys in their undies.  Of special note is a very sexy scene of the underwear clad boys getting each other drunk, pouring drinks over each other (including down their underwear) and rubbing it over their muscle flexed bodies.  Also another scene of the 3 frat boys as strippers at their party.

Urban Legends: Final Cut

CAST:  Jennifer Morrison, Matthew Davis, Joey Lawrence, Eva Mendes, Loretta Devine, Hart Bochner, Anson Mount, Jessica Caufiel, Anthony Anderson, Michael Bacall, Rebecca Gayheart

DIRECTOR:  John Ottman

2000

From the era of the Scream Trilogy, I Know What You Did Last Summer and its predecessor, Urban Legend, comes Urban Legends:  Final Cut and like the other successful horror movies from that era, it's a slasher mystery.  Like the first film, its on a college campus where a mysterious killer is using urban legends to elliminate his prey, but this time around it's a new killer with a new motive and a whole new cast of victims.  The only connection to the original film, besides its style, is the role of Loretta Devine reprising her role as campus security guard, Reese, who transferred to a new school after the original massacre, and a cameo from Rebecca Gayheart of the first film.

The film doesn't have the all-star teenage cast of the first film, but its not totally unknowns either, including former child star/teen heartthrob Joey Lawrence and a then unknown Eva Mendes.

Story:  All the film students are working on their thesis films for the prestigious Hitchcock Award.  Devastation comes when their classmate Travis comits suicide.  Mystery follows when Amy meets Travis' twin brother, Trevor, whom she didn't even know existed.  One by one the film students meet a bloody demise which they believe is to kill off the competition for the Hitchcock Award.  However, among this horror mystery, that may be too easy a motive and something more sinister may be lurking in the shadows of someone's life.

Gay Factor:  This is a straight movie but inclusive to gay characters, one gay male and two lesbians, one of whom is portrayed by future star, Eva Mendes.

Sex/Nudity:  One minor sex scene, partial male ass.
