Director David DeCoteau's loosely based interpretration of the Edgar Allan Poe classic but with a homoerotic twist. Like most DeCoteau films, expect to see lots of guys in their underwear.
Story: A group of student athletes volunteer for a hypnosis program to enhance their performance at a weekend retreat. They learn their psychologist is actually the daughter of a disgraced psychologist who was disbarred for torturing his patients. When students begin disappearing, the others start to get suspicious and investigate. Along the way Kyle and Jason end up together, as do the two girls, Alicia and Gemma.
Gay Factor: In typical DeCoteau fashion, expect hot hunks in their underwear. Two guys fight to the death in their underwear, two other guys end up as a couple and the two girls hookup.
A few of the actors can be found in other gay related projects. Tom Sandoval was discovered for DeCoteau's Playing With Fire. Bart Voitila, who was playing professional soccer for the Polish team by age 18, was also in DeCoteau's Playing With Fire and House Of Usher. Jason Shane-Scott was in DeCoteau's Wolves Of Wallstreet as well as an appearance in the gay film, Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss. Jason Stuart, who has a small role as Dimitri Divay, is a gay comedian with a long resume, some of his gay appearances coming on tv's Will & Grace and on film in The Lost Empire and 10 Attitudes.
